1. Chakrata trek

It is the perfect weekend getaway from Delhi for every nature lover. Situated in the Dehradun district, it’s almost 98 kilometres away from Dehradun city. As it’s not a mainstream destination yet, the place basks in the glory of solitude. 

Tiger Falls, Chirmiri, Budher Caves, and Deoban are the top attractions of this trek. You can explore the nearby area and take a dip in the crystal waters. Other than that, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset at Chirmiri. It is also a great spot for bird watchers.

2.Auli Gorson Bugyal trek

Auli has some of the finest slopes in the Himalayan range. Riding on Asia’s longest and highest ropeway, savouring the view of some of the highest mountains near Delhi, and skiing on the longest ropeway in India are some of the features of the Auli Gorson Bugyal Trek. Beautiful views of the Himalayan mountains, including Nanda Devi, Kamet, Mana Parvat, Dunagiri and Joshimath, is the best part of the trek.

3.Dayara Bugyal trek

This destination is ideal for a one-day trek near Delhi. The fresh, soft grass and the splendour of the mighty Himalayan mountain peaks cradling the meadows are a few things on offer at these trekking trails. Every season here unfolds a different level of surreal beauty. Tourists can explore the customs, activities, festivals, and agriculture of the Barsu village which is the base camp for Dayara Bugyal. Skiing can be done here in the winter when the meadows are blanketed with snow.

4. Hampta Circle trek

At a comfortable distance from Delhi, this is another easy to moderate trek that can be explored over a weekend. Mesmerising views of Hanuman Tibba, along with Dhauladhar, Bara Bhangal, and Pir Panjal Ranges are the highlights of this trek. Jagatsukh temple is the base for many trek lovers and although the temple is visited by a lot of devotees every day, it is known for its serenity and calm environs.

Best time to trek: May to October

Starting point: Jagatsukh Village, Manali 

5. Tosh Valley Trek

Manali is a paradise on earth—head in any direction here and you’ll stumble on ecstatic natural beauty. Kasol and Manikaran are popular tourist spots here. Its dreamy environment and pleasant weather attracts tourists from all over the world. People come to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and have a relaxing holiday here by taking a walk in the village, passing apple orchards and lush pastures. Many psychedelic and trance parties are also organised here.

6. Valley of Flowers trek

This trek is open during the months of July, August, and September when the whole valley is blooming with flowers. It is one of the easiest treks that you can complete without the help of a guide. The gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi. Snow-capped peaks, murmuring waterfalls, lush green meadows, and numerous colours of wildflowers are the main attractions of this trek. 7. Prashar Lake Trek
