Coastal cuisines all across the world include seafood prominently. While fish meals often garner attention, prawn and prawn recipes are equally popular due to their deliciousness and adaptability. The 80 top-rated prawn and prawn meals from throughout the globe have been revealed by TasteAtlas, the famous culinary and travel reference. The Symian island delicacy Simiako Garidaki comes in first. Fried in garlic and olive oil, these little crimson prawns are noted for their delicate sweetness and are usually seasoned with only salt and pepper.

At number six on the list is the top Indian food Chingri Malai Curry from Bengali cuisine, while Mexico has a strong showing with four dishes on the list. Sautéed in ghee or mustard oil with onions, green chillies, garlic-ginger paste, and turmeric, this dish showcases prawns cooked in a thick coconut milk stew that is seasoned with garam masala. It is often served with steaming rice and is famous for its delicious and creamy sauce. What's even more surprising is that this dish originated in Malaysia! Malay does not literally mean the coconut malai, but the fact that this dish has Malaysian origins, as it draws its mild coconut but robust spicy notes from the world famous laksa!

Flatbread with a chewy texture that many people love is called naan. Baking it in a tandoor oven brings together white flour, yeast, eggs, milk, sugar, and salt. The dough's natural drooping motion while cooking on the tandoor walls gives it its signature tear-drop form. This paired with butter chicken- India’s best export in our eyes!

And what pairs amazingly with naan? We obviously had to include butter chicken in this list right? In a delicate tomato sauce with a hint of spice, lies a dish of juicy chicken. The tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven, is the traditional cooking vessel. Always start by making the gravy by pulping fresh tomatoes, garlic, and cardamom into a vibrant crimson sauce. Once cooled, the pulp is pureed. Then, khoa (dried whole milk), butter, and a variety of spices are added. The 1950s were the birth year of the dish in Delhi. Truly one of the top Indian dishes!
