However, beyond her impressive repertoire of films, Taapsee is often ‘papped’ around the city and her looks are recreated by several young girls who want to look trendy and suave.
And so, we’ve compiled a list of Taapsee’s best outfits and looks over the years for you to take inspiration for your next big fashion event.
1. Hybrid dhoti saree
In this look, Taapsee looks like a combination of a modern woman and an Indian bride, and the muted nude colours really work for her. The gajra in her hair, the jhumka balis and the nude juttis all add to the look tremendously. This could be a great mood board for your next Diwali outfit or even something that can be worn at a friend’s wedding.
2. Floral saree
Beat the summer heat with this floral saree that is evergreen and will work on practically any occasion. Pairing this saree with an elegant and dainty emerald jewellery set is a great idea to give that necessary pop of colour among so many different prints.
3. Barbiecore
Any look that matches 'Barbie pink' attire with all-white knee boots gives off high feminine energy and when Taapsee Pannu sports such a look, it makes an even greater impact, given her film choices. This pink and white combination is a classic one and never fails to make for a spectacular outfit.
4. Vacation whites
Flowing hair, flowy dresses and the vast blue ocean are staples when it comes to the perfect vacation spot for your Instagram. This image is exactly the kind of laid-back fashion goal that one would expect from a beach holiday. Couple with a minimal makeup look and a Pina colada (not optional) this is the perfect Maldives attire, perfected even more by Taapsee.
5. Boss lady
A fitted tank top, loose formal pants and an oversized blazer are the way to go to achieve the ultimate ‘boss lady’ vibes. In this nude look, Taapsee can be seen owning her confidence as she carries off the corporate look with ease. The smokey eyes and gold hoop earrings add to the charm of this look.
6. Pastel lehenga
If you’re looking for the perfect look for a friend or cousin’s wedding that will make everyone’s heads turn but also won’t take away attention from the bride, this pastel Lehenga sported by Taapsee is a perfect choice. A perfect combination of floral hues and intricate embroidery work in the blouse, this lehenga can be played up or down depending on the occasion.
7. Monochrome sharara
Sometimes a sharara suit is what you need to give that added oomph to a regular Indian outfit. In this monochrome look, Taapsee is able to balance Indian silhouettes with a formal day look courtesy of the play of black and white colours. The Indian jewellery is also adding a necessary pop of glamour to the look.
8. Floral saree
Taapsee is the queen of flowy, low-maintenance sarees. In this look, the indigo and white floral combination is a great choice for summer as it brings a soothing effect to the eyes. This saree is a great option for a formal work event in which you can bring a balance of glamour and tradition.
9. Go green
In this deep green jumpsuit, Taapsee looks chic and stylish and almost like she isn’t trying too hard. The dainty jewellery and minimal make-up act as a great combination to this look. It can be paired with a printed accessory and also dressed up or down based on whatever the event is.
10. Fusion fever
The combination of a black tank top, a printed georgette saree and chunky army boots is a sure-shot winner. Coupled with swanky eyewear, this could be a serious contender for a red-carpet look that’s offbeat and out of the box. The combination of black and purple is also a classic one that is sure to be a head-turner.
