With the monsoon in full swing, restaurants, quick-service restaurants, and delivery kitchens across Mumbai are whipping up special menus as an ode to the season. And it’s only natural because the rainy season brings with a bounty of seasonal vegetables, and fruits; and a rich array of seasonal delicacies that feel like nothing short of a warm hug amid the pitter-patter.
Fort-based Japanese restaurant Wakai has introduced a special ramen menu to celebrate the rains, Hakkasan pays an ode to the season with a Hakka lunch menu with dishes made using seasonal ingredients like water chestnut and sweet corn; while Yogisattva and Commis Station have collaborated to present a limited-edition vegan, gluten-free and refine sugar-free monsoon spread. 1. Hakkasan Mumbai
Hakkasan, a Chinese fine-dining restaurant, is hosting a five-course Hakka monsoon menu for lunch from Monday to Friday. It features signature Cantonese delicacies comprising sweet corn soup, spicy chicken dumplings, chicken stir fry with Szechuan peppercorns, sugar snap and water chestnut stir fry with vegetable fried rice or Hakka hand-pulled noodles. This multi-course menu is paired with a glass of prosecco bellini.

2. Wakai, Khar
Picture this: a bowl full of umami-rich broth, fresh noodles swimming in it, and vegetables, egg, and meat on top. Wakai has an exciting menu of ramen bowls for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It consists of four types of ramen – shoyu, miso, tantanmen, and kimchi.

3. Yauatcha x TGL Co.
Monsoon = endless cups of tea. Yauatcha and TGL Co. got the memo in time and so, they collaborated to create a Yum Cha (dim sum and tea) menu. This means you can binge on endless servings of dim sum by the celebrity-favourite Chinese restaurant – such as the truffle edamame dumplings, asparagus and water chestnut dumplings and so on. - while sipping on some of the finest teas that the luxury tea brand TGL Co. has to offer.

4. Yogisattva x Commis Station
Chef Raveena Taurani of Yogisattva and chef Divesh Aswani of Commis Station have come together to present a limited-edition vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free monsoon menu. Available for dine-in at the Yogisattva Cafe, the menu puts the spotlight on local, seasonal ingredients. Quinoa and corn flakes with fermented green chill cashew cream, Vietnamese crepe black rice Banh xeo in chilli ponzu sauce, dukkah crumb with house-made organic barbeque sauce, smoked tofu miso ramen, and teriyaki eggplant are a few of the offerings on the menu.

5. Rocket Man Pizza
Umami – savoury, robust, and meaty - is the flavour of the season for the good folks at Rocket Man. And to share that beautiful flavour with its customers, the pizza spot has introduced three new types of pizza on its menu. K-pop (Korean BBQ chicken pizza with gochugaru and caramelised onions), Funghii town (pizza with portobello mushrooms, mushroom duxelles, black olive tapenade, and pickled onions), and Pigasso (pizza with pork belly, pork belly glaze and sauce, and pickled chillies and onions).

6. MoMo Café at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport
Enjoy the pitter-patter of Mumbai rains with MoMo Café at Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai's monsoon edition of the high tea menu. From popular Indian snacks such as vada pav, pav bhaji, and chole kulche, to international delicacies, they have an elaborate fare. Guests can pair these with the cafe's selection of teas, including, earl grey, cardamom tea, ginger tea, and masala chai. They also have a few snacks and tea cakes that make for perfect 'grab on the go' choices.

7. Meetha by Radisson
Satisfy your monsoon chaat and mithai cravings with Chef Raghvendra of Meetha by Radisson's curation of lip-smacking treats including Chinese samosa, matar kachori, khasta kachori chaat, corn mutter ki chaat, imarti, balushahi, and labong latika.

8. Bar Bank, Powai and Juhu
The joy of gorging on piping hot momos dipped in a hot spicy chutney, while soaking in the happy vibes of rain-drenched surroundings, is an experience that can seldom be described in words. Bar Bank, an open-air food truck park in Powai and Juhu, is serving a variety of momos as part of their monsoon menu. From classic Tibetan chicken momos, and chilli cheese momos, to wok-tossed hot garlic ones and chilli butter momos.

9. Pritam Restaurant, Dadar
