Beyond their professional life, a lot of Indian celebrities have been experimenting with the hospitality industry for a while now. The most recent of the lot being Bhumi Pednekar who just partnered with Chrome Hospitality over her boutique hotel and eatery called Kaiā Goa. With a chef-driven menu specialising in local cusine, the beachfront property in Ashwem is winning hearts all over. 

Bhumi joins a long list of actors, celebrity chefs, and sportspeople who ventured into the food scene with their unique offerings.

An iconic figure in the Indian Film Industry, the evergreen Dharmendra is the owner of this retro-themed restaurant chain in New Delhi. Garam Dharam Dhaba is a fine dining chain, offering a delightful experience. Perfect for Bollywood lovers, the outlets are filled with posters from his movies and feature his classic dialogues. With their warm and inviting atmosphere, the restaurants serve a range of delicious food options, but with a desi twist. Offering a variety of appetisers, entrees and desserts, they also have a fine selection of drinks to choose from. They also offer special events and promotions to be hosted here. With good music and flavourful food, Garam Dharam Dhaba is surely a lovely place to visit.

The Dragonfly Experience offers an innovative range of cuisine with its Asian and European delicacies. There are also vegan options available, along with a selection of their signature-style cocktails. Dragonfly offers a global experience to its patrons as they have appointed a British mixologist, Richard Hargroves who is known for his inventive creations of great concoctions. Their innovative cocktail Enter The Dragon, the seafood dishes, pork bao, sushi and tempura are among the popular items.

While he is well-known as a cricketer, Virat Kohli's stint in the hospitality industry deserves recognition too. His restaurant chain, One 8 Commune has outlets, in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Kolkata. And while the menu boasts a wide variety of dishes from around the world, we can't help but also rave about the stunning properties. In fact, the Mumbai outlet is at late singer Kishore Kumar's former bungalow and while the interiors change from city to city, they all are stunning, to say the least.

The Elbo Room is situated at the heart of Mumbai and is one of the most Instagrammable spots in town. This restaurant owned by Chunky Pandey serves a variety of Oriental dishes, along with a wide selection of cocktails. On Wednesdays and Fridays, the place has live music, where DJ Priyesh plays a mix of commercial rock and hip-hop tracks. Sundays here are retro, with DJ Bobby playing the most popular retro songs. The place offers an exquisite dining experience, and the interiors are as beautiful as it gets, surely taking you away to someplace else (pun intended). They serve authentic French, Italian and Asian cuisines, and also have a wide selection of wines and spirits, best to complement your meal.

Neuma by Karan Johar is a quaint eatery set up in a Portuguese villa in Colaba, Mumbai. For a slightly more hip version, we suggest you hit the place on Saturday night when it comes alive with live music and dancing.
