The pandemic made chef Vanshika Bhatia explore easy-to-eat, comfort food options for herself and found burgers were something she enjoyed most. Being an avid fan of a nice filling burger, and looking at limited options in the gourmet delivery segment, she decided to start a burger brand of her own. And so, Bhatia, known for her ventures like Together at 12th, Petite Pie Shop and Cafe M, got together with friends Aman Varma and Himanshu Malik, to create a cloud kitchen that would exclusively make old school burgers. Super-specialty, says Bhatia, is the future and she aims to connect with her customers with a focused brand. The main focus at Proper Burger is on ingredients. They mince their own meat so that it is the right consistency. The seasoning is a house secret and so is the special sauce that goes in the cheeseburger. To cater to a wide audience hence they have options like butter chicken burger,  wasabi burger, and Mexican-style burger. They also offer a wide range of vegetarian burgers. The house-made mayonnaise, mustard, and naga chilli sauce are a USP.  At the moment they outsource the buns (which are outstanding) but that too will be done in-house soon.
