In the initial phase, several iconic properties will be transformed into heritage hotels, including Chunar Fort in Mirzapur, Barua Sagar Fort in Jhansi, Jal Mahal in Barsana, Chattar Manzil and Kothi Roshan-ud-Daula in Lucknow, and Shukla Talab Haveli in Kanpur. Detailed reports for these projects have already been prepared and submitted to the State government for approval.

Upon receiving approval, the next phase will focus on converting additional sites such as Mastani Mahal and Lake Palace in Mahoba, Tehroli in Jhansi, Tal Behat Fort in Lalitpur, and Rangarh Fort in Banda into hotels.

Moreover, plans are underway to transform a heritage building at Akbar’s hunting ground in Kirawali, Agra—one of the state's top tourist destinations—into a luxurious hotel. Other notable sites slated for conversion include Baradari in Bithoor, Kothi Gulista-e-Iram in Lucknow, Kothi Darshan Vilas, and Baradari in Wazirganj, Gonda.

The reasons for converting these historic sites into heritage hotels are multifaceted. Firstly, it is a significant step towards preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh. By converting these historical sites into hotels, the government ensures their maintenance and upkeep, protecting them from neglect and decay. Additionally, it brings these magnificent structures back into the public eye, allowing more people to appreciate their historical significance and architectural beauty.

This project is more than just a tourism boost; it's an economic game-changer for Uttar Pradesh. By attracting domestic and international tourists, the state aims to generate employment opportunities and stimulate local economies. Artisans, craftsmen, and local vendors stand to benefit from the increased tourist influx, ensuring that the economic benefits trickle down to the grassroots level.
