The South Korean government has officially extended the South Korea visa fee waiver for groups with regard to Indian travellers as a part of its strategy to maintain the strong tourism momentum seen in 2025.

New validity period- The South Korea visa waiver was originally set to expire at the end of 2025, which has now been extended for another six months. The South Korea travel visa is now valid until June 30, 2026.

Group requirements- The waiver applies to organised groups of 5 or more people. Applications must be submitted through government-accredited travel agencies rather than individuals applying directly at consulates. Additionally, the group must travel via the same flight and follow an identical itinerary.

Financial impact- The standard processing fee for the C-3-2 (Short-term Group Tourism) visa is waived. Travellers save approximately 18,000 KRW.

Processing and stay- This South Korea visa allows for a stay of up to 30 days. Group visa applications through accredited agencies typically feature a streamlined process, with an average turnaround time of 5 working days.

To qualify for the 2026 fee waiver, travellers must be a part of an organised group of at least five individuals from India, Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. These groups must arrive and depart South Korea on the same flight with an identical itinerary, applying for the C-3-2 or the Short-term Group Tourist visa exclusively through government-accredited travel agencies.

Applying for the South Korea group visa fee waiver is a streamlined process as compared to individual applications, as much of the administrative burden is handled by specialised agencies.

Form a group- Assemble a team of at least 5 travellers from India, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia or Cambodia.

Sync itineraries- Ensure that all members share the exact same flight and a uniform travel schedule.

Select the agency- Contact a South Korean government accredited travel agency as individual applications do not qualify for the waiver.

Gather documents- Provide each member's passport, recent photos, 6 months of bank statement, and 2 years of ITR.

Agency submissions- The agency will submit the application for the C-3-2 visa to the Korea Visa Application Centre (KVAC).

Fee waiver- The agency will automatically process the application without the standard 18,000 KRW fee.

Wait for 5 days- Group visas are typically approved within 5 working days.

Download notice- Once approved, download and print the Visa Grant Notice provided by your agency to carry for your trip.

If you are someone who is taking advantage of the group waiver, here is a perfectly balanced route that hits the iconic must-sees and hidden K-drama gems
