It is one of the most important places to visit in Jerusalem for Muslims as they believe this was the very place where Prophet Mohammad ascended to Heaven. The third holiest site for Muslims after Mecca and Madinah, non-Muslims are not allowed to enter inside the Dome. Built in the Byzantine architectural site, the Dome sits on top of the Temple Mount.
