6. Gurudongmar Lake Trek
The Gurudongmar Lake is one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes located in Sikkim, close to the Tibetan and Chinese border. Situated at an elevation of 5,183 metres above sea level, the lake completely freezes during the winter months. The Gurudongmar Lake Trek is a trek from the Gurudongmar Lake to Tso Lake in Sikkim. Both lakes are situated at a distance of 9 kilometres from each other, and one needs to obtain a permit from the Army for the trek.
