The northeastern Indian state of Meghalaya is renowned for its stunning natural scenery and captivating vistas. Some of the most magnificent waterfalls in the nation may be found in this state, drawing visitors from all over the globe.

One of the most well-known waterfalls in the state of Meghalaya is Nohkalikai Falls, which is situated in the Cherrapunjee district. The tallest plunge waterfall in India, the waterfall is renowned for its magnificent blue-green waters that cascade from a height of 1115 feet.

In Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills region are Seven Sisters Falls, sometimes referred to as Nohsngithiang Falls. The waterfall, one of the most stunning in India, is a collection of seven streams that cascade from a height of 1100 feet.

The seven streams that descend the waterfall, which stand in for the seven states of northeastern India, are whence the term "Seven Sisters" originates. The colourful rainbow that appears at the waterfall's base on bright days is another feature of the falls.

Bishop Falls, which is recognised for its calm surroundings and tranquil mood, is situated in the East Khasi Hills area of Meghalaya. This waterfall in Meghalaya is  a two-tiered cascade that cascades from a height of 135 feet and is encircled by verdant vegetation and extensive woodlands.

In Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills region, Dainthlen Waterfall lies close to Sohra. The 300-foot waterfall is a two-tiered cascade that is renowned for its tranquil settings and relaxing ambience.

The word "Dainthlen" is derived from a local myth involving a serpent that formerly lived close to the waterfall and was ultimately eliminated by a local hero. The waterfall, which is a popular tourist destination in the area and is revered by the locals, is considered sacred.

The monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, is the ideal time to see Langshiang Falls since the cascade is at its most powerful.

Wei Sawdong Falls, which is recognised for its captivating beauty and breathtaking environs, is situated in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills area. The waterfall, a three-tiered cascade that cascades from a height of 1000 feet, is encircled by hills and lush greenery.
Wei Sawdong, which translates to "three steps waterfalls" in the local Khasi tongue, is a well-known tourist destination in the area.

Wei Sawdong Falls are at their most spectacular during the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September.

Meghalaya state capital, Shillong, is where Elephant Falls is situated. The three-tiered waterfall, which cascades from a height of 82 feet, is well-known for its magnificent rock formations and luxuriant vegetation.
The granite formation that resembled an elephant's trunk gave rise to the name 'Elephant Falls', but it was later destroyed by an earthquake. The waterfall still draws people in spite of the disappearance of the granite formation because of its beauty.
