Sneaker culture is thriving in India. From sneaker raffles and giveaways on Instagram to reselling limited-edition sneakers, sneakerheads have found numerous ways to acquire their favourite brands. If you’re tuned into the sneaker culture, Bollywood celebrities naturally are into it too. Everyone from Sara Ali Khan to Diljit Dosanjh has a favourite sneaker brand that they wear often. Whether it’s Nike or Balenciaga, celebrity sneakers are boosting the sneaker culture in the country. And, it seems like this trend is here to stay.

1. Ranveer Singh
We picked our favourite celebrity sneaker from Ranveer Singh’s internet-breaking ensemble. Singh nailed Maison Valentino’s ‘Pink PP’ on the inauguration of Meta Creator Day on September 30, 2022, in Mumbai. Pink PP, which is a bright Fuchsia pink shade has been a red-carpet favourite, especially at Cannes Film Festival 2022. Singh matched his oversized coat, shirt, pants, and sneakers all from the ‘Pink PP’ collection. The sneakers adorned the limited edition ‘Pink PP’ logo, had edgy stud detailing, and were made with leather and suede.
Singh is quite a popular sneakerhead and has been spotted adorning a range of designer sneakers from his collection.
2. Diljit Dosanjh
A popular sneakerhead, Diljit Dosanjh is often spotted wearing sneakers and hoodies by top designer brands. The singer-actor is known for his fashion choices and is quite vocal about his favourite designer brands to wear. From Balenciaga shoes to Versace, Dior, and Nike Air Force 1, Dosanjh has sported several sneaker brands. Our favourite celebrity sneaker from Dosanjh’s collection includes the white sneakers with orange details. The pair also complements his oversized sweater perfectly.
3. Shanaya Kapoor
Shanaya Kapoor paired her Nike Air Jordan X Off-White High-Top sneakers with ripped jeans and a blue top too. Her all-blue look goes perfectly with her sneakers, which are off-white and have a Carolina blue leather upper that’s inspired by the University of North Carolina. The pair also features a red zip tie. Shanaya Kapoor has often been spotted in sneakers by several designer houses. Kapoor’s Instagram boasts of several casual outings that involve wearing sneakers. 4. Varun Dhawan
Sneaker culture involves wearing sneakers casually and formally too. And, Varun Dhawan shows how to pull that off by wearing sneakers at an award ceremony in 2019. The actor’s ensemble is by Dior, so the outfit and shoes are matched. Wearing a light blue and white coat, white pants, and matching sneakers, this is a look you can easily ape. Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor is a well-known sneakerhead. You’ll often spot his Instagram showcasing his sneaker collection as Kapoor is quite involved in the sneaker culture. So much so that his father, Anil Kapoor, steals from his wardrobe. Sporting pink sneakers, the father-son duo have proved they are a family of sneakerheads. The Kapoors are also Bollywood’s fashionista family, so how could we not have a pair from their closet on our list of favourite celebrity sneakers?
6. Sara Ali Khan
This sneakerhead is often spotted wearing sneakers casually. Sara Ali Khan’s wardrobe houses sneakers for several outfits. Recently, her Christmas post which featured her December holiday dump shows Khan wearing two different sneakers on holiday. You’ll spot several sneaker brands on her feed including Nike Air Jordans, Reebok, Dior, among others. The actor’s choice of sneakers in the first picture, paired with Mickey Mouse joggers and a red puffer jacket, easily makes it on our list of favourite celebrity sneakers.
7. Sonam Kapoor
Trust fashionista Sonam Kapoor to be tuned into sneaker culture along with her partner, Anand Ahuja who owns the multi-brand sneaker boutique VegNonVeg. The actor recently paired a pair of newly launched sneakers by Louis Vuitton X Nike. Naturally, the pair is on our list of favourite celebrity sneakers because who wouldn’t love to own it? The collaboration features a black pair of sneakers detailed with Louis Vuitton’s classic print and the Nike logo. Kapoor paired it with pants and a winter coat and turned the pair worth wearing for a semi-formal OOTN.
8. Ananya Panday
Yet another Bollywood celebrity tuned into sneaker culture, Ananya Panday’s sneaker collection is quite large. The actor matches several outfits with sneakers and is often spotted wearing them while she’s out with friends or family. Panday has sported her pair of sneakers with athleisurewear, skirts and dresses, and the most obvious, with a pair of jeans too. Our favourite celebrity sneaker from Panday’s wardrobe includes a pair of white sneakers she wore while hopping around Bandra one afternoon.
9. Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana has been seen wearing sneakers for several promotional events and magazine photoshoots. Some months ago, on Karva Chauth, Khurrana posted a photo with his wife adorning a pair of off-white sneakers and a matching outfit. The simplicity of the sneakers is why this pair is on our list of favourite celebrity sneakers. Khurrana also wore several pairs while promoting his film Action Hero all through November and December. 10. Vicky Kaushal
Chances are you’ve always seen Vicky Kaushal in a pair of sneakers. Kaushal has been spotted wearing sneakers no matter where he goes, or what he wears. Our favourite celebrity sneaker from his wardrobe is the pair he’s wearing in a photo to announce his latest OTT film’s release, Govinda Naam Mera. Kaushal is wearing a pair of Golden Goose, the subtle colours paired with a casual outfit at home is what we love about this sneaker outfit.
