As usual, the Met Gala was more than simply a red carpet; it was a runway for spectacle, prestige, and narrative.  The Gala, sometimes referred to as fashion's largest night, is a place where meaning and style collide, and celebrities are expected to dress not simply fancy but intentionally.
The rich history of Black dandyism—an artistic movement based on grace, defiance, and self-expression via exquisite tailoring—was highlighted by this year's topic, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.  We anticipated silhouettes that screamed loudly, culturally significant details, and fashion that respected history while pushing the envelope, all in keeping with the Tailored for You dress code, and were pleasantly surprised.
While usually the MET Gala red carpet is a mix of theme based looks and good looks, 2025’s red carpet saw finery like never before. From Indian designers and celebs flaunting their best looks to the co-chair Lewis Hamilton making jaws drop, the MET Gala 2025 red carpet had it all.

In what was one of the most stunning looks on the 2025 MET Gala red carpet, Ms Advani absolutely slayed. To say that it was hands-down her best look ever would be an understatement. The Indian actress who is expecting her first child looked resplendent and carried the custom Gaurav Gupta Couture outfit with panache.

The designer explained that the collection, which is called Bravehearts, is built on the spirit of the Black Dandy — those who challenged norms and reshaped culture with grace, strength, and individuality. Quite an interpretation! Her golden heart-shaped breastplate was connected to a smaller heart, symbolising the umbilical cord, and making the outfit even more personal. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, the actress wore her hair wavy, and let her ear cuffs shine.

King Khan isn’t a stranger to dressing up and looking sharp. Remember his sherwani and emerald necklace look at the Ambani wedding? Had us drooling for days. And wondering what could ever top that. Enter the MET Gala SRK!
Dressed in Sabyasachi, King Khan channelled the dandy spirit, but with spice. The sharp tailoring, the maximalism with accessories, the salt and pepper, and the iconic sunnies? This look simply had us in a chokehold, and we don’t see ourselves recovering soon.

When it comes to being a superstar representative of his roots, Diljit Dosanjh doesn’t come to play. His MET Gala look was simply spectacular. Inspired by the roots of dandy-ism, Diljit’s ensemble paid homage to the land of Punjab in the most royal way possible.

The singer-actor wore a custom-made regal outfit by Prabal Gurung, with exceptional details. And while there was no one highlight of the look, his take on the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s Patiala Necklace, which is now owned by Cartier, just couldn’t be missed.
Made by Mumbai-based Golecha’s Jewels, the look was as iconic as it gets.

If doing rich right was a thing, Isha Ambani would be the winner. In what was easily one of the most decadent takes on dandy, the businesswoman and heiress shined bright. In custom Anamika Khanna, Isha was styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania and in addition to her extravagant neckpiece, wore rings by Tiffany’s and hair jewels by the Ahmedabad-based contemporary fine jewellery brand Moi.

The sultriest take on dandy? Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Dressed in a polka dot suit dress from Olivier Roustein, adorned with Bvlgari, PCJ kept it simple but spicy. The gloves, the wide-rimmed hat, and the silhouette made her look stand out bright in the sea of pretty-looking dresses. The actress walked the red carpet with singer-actor husband Nick Jonas, who looked dapper too. The fun part? The couple’s love story started after a joint appearance on the MET Gala red carpet a few years ago.
