It’s wedding season once again in B-town and this time, celebrated designers, Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta, tied the knot at an intimate wedding ceremony on August 28 in Mumbai.
The duo got married after having dated for more than 10 years, and the dreamy event was attended by family and close friends, including Arjun Kapoor-Malaika Arora, Anshula Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor-Mira Kapoor, Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal, Mohit Marwah-Antara Marwah, and others.
Both Rawal and Mehta took to Instagram and shared their first official wedding pictures, looking adorable and in love, not to mention nailing their wedding ensembles elegantly.
Dressed in an ivory sherwani paired with a stole and safaa – an ensemble from his own label - Rawal looked like royalty. The minimalist look complemented his personality on the wedding day. Sharing photos, he wrote: "This weekend was all heart, I married the best girl and was celebrated by the most amazing people. To new beginnings!"
Mehta's captions were equally romantic. She wrote: "This weekend was all heart, I married the best boy and celebrated with my most amazing people. To new beginnings!"
Adding a hint of sparkle to her minimalistic bridal trousseau, Mehta wore an ivory outfit with an embellished blouse. She further embellished her wardrobe with a set of polki jewellery, necklaces, maang tika, and earrings. Her look was completed with minimal makeup, which made her look stunning, and a dupatta draped over her head.
For the other festivities, the couple were a vision to behold in matching black ensembles for their pre-wedding bash. Mehta wore a sheer black saree with glitzy embellishments. Heavy kohl-ed eyes and nude lips rounded off her look. Rawal, on the other hand, rocked an all-black ensemble – a long, embroidered jacket with sparkling details.
For the mehendi ceremony, both slipped into regal ethnic outfits. The groom sported a pastel-hued kurta set while Mehta wore a lime-yellow lehenga set and a regal assemblage of jewels.
Maintaining the classic celebrity wedding repertoire, the designer bride and groom managed to balance the old and new in a modern way through their ensembles - mixing it up and embracing ethnic styles in their own way.
