The abbreviation "Rizz" stands for the more formal-sounding "charisma." A person with rizz is exceptionally gifted in wooing their romantic interest, usually through words. You can say they have an enchanting quality about them. While the term is most commonly used to describe a man's efforts to woo a woman, it may be used to any situation in which one person is attempting to woo another love interest.

That one glance may convey a thousand words—you've seen it in many romantic comedies and amongst female closest friends. The term "unspoken rizz" describes the phenomenon where a guy's feelings for a female can be conveyed without actually speaking a word. For this part of rizzing, all you need is the correct look on your face and maybe some timing. While some possess it, others just do not. To be sure, not with all of the girls (or guys).

After flirting, dating usually starts, and that's when rizz is key! If you're not good at flirting, people may start to refer to you as "L rizz." However, you should be proud of yourself if you're good at flirting and can express your intentions in a way that doesn't come off as weird.  Rizz comes in a variety of forms, the most common of which being "W" and "L." "W" stands for "win" and "L" for "loss."

To start his day off right, a guy stops into his go-to coffee shop. He sees the same lovely girl at the same table every time, but something is different about her this time while he waits for his drink. At last, they meet each other's gaze. He approaches her with a smile, and she returns the gesture. He initiates a discussion, acquires her number, and then retrieves his order to leave for work. His rizz was successful since he was able to get her number by flirting.

The result would have been less than ideal if L rizz had been used. Continuing with the same example, imagine if the guy's attempt to strike up a conversation completely bombs. He leaves with his coffee but a somewhat heavier heart because she refuses to give him her number.

Kai Cenat, a Twitch broadcaster and YouTuber, popularised the word "rizz" to describe his proficiency at wooing women. Cenat began using the term "rizz" on social media, although he and his pals had been using it internally for some time. W rizz (a victory) and L rizz (a defeat) are two names that Cenat used to describe rizz, and he would even offer guidance to Twitch users on how to have it. After the term "rizz" became popular on TikTok, Cenat decided to stop using it.

Silky and Duke Dennis are two more identified content creators who used this phrase for the first time in 2021. Ever since then, it has been a TikTok and Instagram phenomenon that attracts individuals from all walks of life.
