He Put A Ring On It: Tom Holland-Zendaya Are Possibly Engaged

On Sunday, the 5th of January, the 82nd Golden Globes Awards took place in Los Angeles, California, and the red carpet was lit with the best of glamour and fashion. On the Globes red carpet, apart from her outfit Challengers actress Zendaya was also spotted with an engagement ring that captured everyone’s attention. Speculations were fueled, and the internet was abuzz with whether Tom and Zendaya had engaged over the holidays!

While the actors or their representatives are yet to make a statement on the speculations, the news website TMZ has reported that Tom popped the question over the holidays. Zendaya and Tom Holland have long been quite reserved about their relationship, but the actress couldn’t help but flaunt her massive solitaire on the Golden Globes red carpet.

The legend has it that out of each film appears a Spiderman couple, and Tom and Zendaya would be the third on that list. The couple met on the sets of Spiderman in 2017, and became friends. While the speculations of Tom and Zendaya dating did emerge back then too, they were immediately put to rest as both insisted they are friends. Post this, for a few years they were also seen dating other people, so the rumours died organically. In 2019, Zendaya was seen with actor Jacob Elordi around New York, while in 2020 Tom made his relationship with actress Nadia Parkes on Instagram.

Things took a turn in July 2021 when the paparazzi spotted them kissing in a car, and the internet erupted! The reactions were mostly positive, and a few hilarious ones as well. Some poked fun at how starring together in a Spiderman movie to dating is a very real pipeline, given that Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone, and Tobey Mcguire and Kirsten Dunst had also dated in the past.

While Tom Holland and Zendaya relationship was still not confirmed by either of the parties, the next month they were seen attending a friend’s wedding together. In September, Tom posted on Instagram a picture tribute for Zendaya’s birthday, making it ‘gram official. Since then, the couple has shared many pictures together, and have been quite open about the fact that they are dating, but never talk about the relationship.

This is not the first time that speculations about Zendaya and Tom Holland's engagement have surfaced. In 2022, Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, had subtly addressed the rumour on Instagram after pop culture page Pop Hive tweeted over the weekend that the pair got engaged in secret.

In the past few years however, both Tom Holland and Zendaya have opened up a little more about the relationship as well as how much they value each other.
