As per the official confirmation, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 release date is 20 December 2024. This time, they're giving the Blue Blur the prime holiday release slot, hinting at some serious confidence in the franchise after the first two movies zipped to success.

As per the reports, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will see Ben Schwartz return to voice the speedy hedgehog himself, Sonic, alongside Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles. The one and only Jim Carrey is officially back as Dr Robotnik, with hints of Shadow the Hedgehog joining the fray. New additions to the cast include Krysten Ritter, Cristo Fernández, James Wolk, Jorma Taccone, and Sofia Pernas, with Alyla Browne confirmed to play Dr. Robotnik's cousin, Maria.
Other returning cast members include James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Adam Pally as Wade Whipple, Natasha Rothwell as Rachel, and Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone.
