That's right, Netflix has officially greenlit the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 and 3, which means we'll get to see the epic story unfold in its entirety.

This means more epic battles, more hilarious Sokka moments, let's hope, and probably some serious emotional gut punches too (sorry, not sorry).  The best part?  They're staying true to the incredible story you know and love from the Netflix original series.

The cast from Avatar season 1 is pretty much guaranteed to be back for seasons 2 and 3.  That means Gordon Cormier will be cracking the elements as Aang again, Kiawentiio Tarbell will be rocking some serious water-bending skills as Katara, and Ian Ousley and Dallas Liu will be bringing their A-game as Sokka and Zuko, respectively.

But here's the super cool part – with more story to tell, we can also expect some brand new faces to join the live-action fam. Imagine all the incredible characters from the animated series coming to life.  Who are you most excited to see make the jump?  Sound off in the comments and let's guess together.

Let's dive into some serious storyline spoilers, first off, Aang's journey to master all four elements (the Air Nomads, the Water Tribes, the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom) – and take down the Fire Nation is heating up.  Prepare for some intense battles and some serious self-discovery for our young Avatar.  Speaking of fire, Zuko's gonna be on a wild ride as he grapples with finding his path (is it redemption or revenge? You decide!).

Plus, get ready to meet some incredible new characters. Fan favourites like the firebending prodigy Azula (who promises to be a formidable foe) and Suki, the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors, are rumoured to be joining the live-action crew.  Season 2 sounds action-packed already, right?

But wait, there's more,  Season 3 promises to be even crazier.  The stakes are gonna be sky-high as Aang and his crew might just come face-to-face with the ultimate villain – the mighty Fire Lord Ozai himself.  Could this be the season where the Hundred-Year War finally comes to an end?  Let's discuss, what are your predictions for  Avatar: The Last Airbender seasons 2 and 3?  Who are you most excited to see and what epic battles do you think are coming our way?  Spill the tea in the comments.

For the unversed, gather around the campfire for a crash course in this epic world of Avatar: The Last Airbender season 1. The live-action show follows Aang, a super cool Airbender kid who wakes up after a hundred years of snoozing to find everything's gone haywire.  Let's rewind a second.  Imagine a world with four nations – Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and the peaceful Air Nomads – all living in harmony thanks to the Avatar, the only one who can bend all four elements and keep things balanced.

But then, the Fire Nation decided peace was boring and attacked.  They pretty much wiped out the Air Nomads, which wasn't cool.  With the Avatar missing and the world on the brink, hope seemed lost.  Enter Aang!  This young Airbender wakes up from his super long nap and discovers he's the new Avatar, big responsibility time.

Aang teams up with his awesome new water-bending friends, Katara and Sokka, and sets off on a quest to master the elements, stop the Fire Nation, and take down the big bad himself – Fire Lord Ozai.  But it won't be easy.  Zuko, the angsty Fire Nation prince, is hot on Aang's tail, determined to capture him for his dad (major family drama).  There's also a bunch of other amazing characters you'll meet along the way, but that's a story for another time.
