Sitting next to the person you love makes working eight hours a day a lot more bearable. Do you recall the times you looked up from your desk and saw them staring at you? LOVE IT! Even though not everyone has the same fortune, it's always a good time to start watching K-dramas about office romance.

Workplace romance in a Korean drama? It's like a magic formula for attracting viewers. My darling chef! Workplace romances may be forbidden by HR regulations, but when you're captivated by a charismatic CEO in K-Dramaland, it's hard to resist. The good news is that you can pick from a wide variety. Here are the top Korean dramas about romance in the office, ranging from Protect the Boss to Business Proposal.

The Potato Lab

Even at a government-run facility dedicated solely to tubers, love can sprout in The Potato Lab. The potato-obsessed researcher Kim Mi-kyung (Lee Sun-bin) is just as erratic as her experiments due to her violent temper and unconventional procedures. Step forward, Kang Tae-oh's So Baek-ho, a principled efficiency guru dispatched to whip the institute into shape. Soil samples and snack exchanges bring scientists and chaos lovers together. The secondary characters, such as a manipulative best friend-slash-romance-author, provide the ideal amount of comedic relief, and the dialogue and chemistry between the main characters are delightful. This office romance K-drama is totally an out-of-the-box watch you need to add to your watchlist!

Love Scout

The brilliant CEO of a leading headhunting agency, Kang Ji-yoon (Han Ji-min), sacrifices her personal life for the sake of her company. Lee Joon-hyuk's character, Yoo Eun-ho, is a single father and composed secretary whose combination of warmth and professionalism disrupts her perfectly constructed environment. A typical boss-assistant dynamic quickly turns into a sweet, mature romance where power play is replaced with teamwork. In his unwavering support, Eun-ho helps Ji-yoon relax her guard, showing her that being a leader doesn't necessarily mean being alone and that, like finding the perfect employee, love is all about compatibility. This office romance Korean drama will give you all the feels!

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim

The vice chairman of a global firm, the complicated and egotistical Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon), is the focus of Secretary Kim's problems. His competent and perceptive secretary, Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young), is always by his side. They work well together as a team, but everything changes when she decides to leave her job to follow her passions. The two fall into a whirlwind of miscommunication, humorous banter, and the most lavish dates ever seen in a Korean drama as Young-joon tries to sway her decision. Because it isn't serious all the time, the show is fun to watch. Now this is the crowning champion of all office romance k-dramas!

Business Proposal

To win over his domineering grandfather, Go Food CEO Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop) goes on a blind date. His employee Shin Ha-ri, played by Kim Sejeong, meets him there. Shin Ha-ri is hoping to be rejected, so she turns up there disguised as her closest friend. But when Tae-moo proposes marriage to Shin Ha-ri to avoid further awkward dates, things don't work out as planned. In her efforts to remain anonymous in the presence of her boss, she encounters a number of amusing scenarios. Envision spectacular dates, high-heeled shoes, and conversation so funny you'll be laughing the whole time. It’s an office k-drama that is definitely unmissable!

Joining Netflix's lineup of Korean dramas in 2022, Forecasting Love and Weather is a joyful and humorous show about two Korea Meteorological Administration employees, played by Park Min-young and Song Kang, who establish a magnetic relationship, as the title suggests. The show's captivating plot hinges on the protagonists' ability to balance their professional and love lives. Forecasting Love and Weather is a must-watch for every Korean romance fan, thanks to its interesting plot, clever use of shifting weather as a metaphor for love, and other useful meteorological references (ideal for "weather nerds"). Moreover, the show's overall quality is enhanced by the palpable chemistry between the two main characters in this Korean drama.

Despite occasionally floundering due to social subtleties, Park Eun-bin's Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young-woo is a formidable force in the courtroom thanks to her exceptional memory and unusual thinking. She befriends Lee Jun-ho, a compassionate and astute coworker at Hanbada Law Firm (Kang Tae-oh), who finds her eccentricities as fascinating as her intelligence. They meet over lunch and strike up a chat about whales, but their friendship quickly develops into a touching portrayal of neurodiverse love in Korean drama. The two manage to negotiate love within the stiff etiquette of professional life through cautious looks, delicate understanding, and emotional honesty.

At first glance, the marriage between Queens Group heiress Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and Legal Director Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) appears to be a joyful one. In private, though, they're unbearable to one another. A problem soon develops, and the two must work together to solve it. Will Hyun-woo and Hae-in become closer as a result of this, or will their relationship crumble?

At one of her mother's several weddings, Song Ji Eun's Lee Yoo Mi spends the night with Sung Hoon's Cha Jin Wook, but she has no intention of seeing him again. Lee Yoo Mi resolves to run away the next morning because she has no idea how a one-night stand works because she has never had a boyfriend. Jin Wook isn't the same wealthy boy when she gets a job working as his nutritionist years later. Jin Wook never truly forgot Yoo Mi, even after he changed his ways and took over his father's business.

My Secret Romance is a charming office romance that is both humorous and lovely. It follows the characters as they overcome social shyness and eventually fall in love. Because of its cliches and predictable plot, it is also one of the cheesiest K-dramas, but that is exactly why we adore it.
