From the drum rolls at her haldi and mehendi ceremonies to the grand wedding shehnais—Mouni Roy’s wedding with Suraj Nambiar became the talk of the town, making it the first high-profile wedding of 2022. The pair tied the knot in an intimate, yet lavish wedding ceremony at The Hilton Goa on January 27. The four-day spectacle was a closed-door event, with friends and families witnessing the wonderful union of the couple. Pictures and videos from the dreamy celebrations are now taking the internet by storm, and they are truly unmissable. Here’s a glimpse of all the wedding festivities right from Mouni Roy in a bridal avatar to the venue, decor, rituals and the guests.

This couple, like many other Bollywood celebrities, chose to get married twice to honour each other's traditions. The couple married according to Malayali and Bengali customs. Mouni’s wedding pictures showcased her dressed as a stunning South Indian bride, followed by a Bengali bride.

The couple was seated in two enormous urns for their haldi ceremony and the phoolo ki haldi, replete with a shower of marigold petals, marked the end of the celebrations.

For her mehendi ceremony, she reclined on a pink couch as mehendi artists applied henna to her hands. Arjun Bijlani, Mouni's Naagin co-star, also graced the ceremony.

The sangeet celebrations took place under the mesmerizing starry sky in an open, outdoor setting. Mouni was seen grooving to a Bollywood playlist alongside Rahul Shetty, Pratik Utekar, Manmeet from the Meet Brothers, and Mouni's other buddies.

The haldi and mehendi ceremonies kicked off the pre-wedding festivities. The bride donned a white kurta and gold sharara with white floral jewellery for the haldi ceremony, while the groom was dressed in a spotless white kurta-pyjama.

For the mehendi, Mouni opted for a bright yellow lehenga with white tassels whereas Suraj kept it sleek and simple by wearing a white kurta-pyjama, teaming it with a printed, white Nehru jacket. The couple was seen dancing merrily during the event.

For the sangeet, Mouni wore a magnificent golden lehenga with emerald jewels. She looked like an absolute goddess as she danced to the song 'Mahi Ve' from Kal Ho Na Ho with her friends.

At the Malayali wedding ceremony, the bride looked stunning in a white Kanjivaram silk saree with red borders and gold zari-embellishments paired with heavy gold jewellery that added the finishing touches to her ensemble. The groom wore a golden kurta and a white mundu, and was completely enthralled by his lovely bride-to-be.

Mouni later transformed into a Sabyasachi bride for the Bengali wedding which took place in the evening. She wore stunning Anmol Jewellery made with beautiful emeralds and uncut diamonds. Suraj wore a layered pearl necklace with a stylish beige Sherwani and matching stole.

After their beautiful wedding, Mouni and Suraj had a brunch to celebrate their happy day with friends and family. For the brunch, the new bride donned a dazzling green full-length dress with sunglasses. Suraj wore a bright blue and white shirt with trousers.

Hilton Goa, a five-star resort was booked as the exclusive venue for the wedding. Located in the Candolim district of Goa, atop the picturesque, terraced slopes of Saipem Hills, it's nothing short of a fantasy! All of the wedding rituals took place on the hotel's two lavish lawns that are perfect for intimate parties.

All the wedding rituals took place under the flowery decor filled with vibrant colours. The mandap for the South Indian wedding was set afloat over the beautifully decorated pool.

Several celebrities like Mandira Bedi, Arjun Bijlani and his blogger-wife Neha Swami, Renee Cosmetics' founder Aashka Goradia, Raindrop Media's founder and director Rohini Iyer attended the wedding.

Mouni's bridesmaids included Mandira Bedi and Aashka Goradia, amongst others. The bridesmaids wore white and gold kasavu sarees for Mouni and Suraj's day wedding, thus following Malayali customs.

The breathtaking outfits, luxurious venue, impressive decor and grand wedding celebrations of Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar have left everyone spellbound. The festivities were nothing short of larger than life. We wish the newlywed couple a happy married life.
