How to do Dhanteras puja at home?

Dhanteras pooja vidhi- a simple approach
The new pot, or Kalash, needs to be purchased for the event and is first set on a crimson piece of fabric. Then decorate your thali with rice, five entire betel nuts, and twenty-one lotus seeds. A little container of sacred Gangajal and sugar is placed on this. Some place silver coins in the pot, while others place floral arrangements or garlands on top of it.

Bring a little chowki or chowrang.
- Make a little red Swastik using the kumkum on top of it.
- Place a lit Diya in the centre of the Swastik and light it. Spritz the Chowki three times with water.
- Seal the Diya with a Cowry (Shell). On top of the Diya, sprinkle some rice and then add the Haldi and Kumkum.
- Offer some flowers and a rupee coin into the Diya. Here, devotees ask this holy Diya to bless their families with long life and excellent health.
- After you've performed the Puja of Diya, set it on the right side of your front entryway.
- A minimum of 108 repetitions of the mantra "AumDhanDhanvantarayeNamha" is required. Do this Japa after you have sought Lord Dhanwantari's blessing. Once it is done, you may offer prayers to Ganesh and Laxmi.
When is Dhanteras pooja?
