Tollywood actor and Zee Zest’s Digital Cover Star for November 2022 Hansika Motwani tied the knot with Mumbai-based businessman Sohael Kathuriya. The wedding festivities were hosted at the Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur, and the ceremony took place on December 4, 2022. Social media platforms were flooded with pictures and videos from the festivities and the newlyweds looked every bit adorable. In attendance at the ceremony were close friends and family members of the bride and groom.

Hansika shared the happy news of her wedding with Sohael via an Instagram post featuring glimpses of their pheras and sindoor moment. “Now and forever 4.12.2022,” she captioned her post.
For the wedding ceremony, the Tollywood star donned a beautiful red and antique gold lehenga-choli with a matching zari dupatta set. She complemented the look with the traditional red and gold churas (kaleere), maang tika, necklace set, and a nose ring. Her hair was tied in a sleek bun and the makeup was bold. The groom opted for an all-ivory sherwani with heavy embroidery and paired it with a shawl and pagdi in a similar shade.
Before these wedding pictures went viral, netizens were swooning over glimpses of Hansika and Sohael’s pre-wedding festivities shared by unknown sources on social media – from the bridal shower to Sufi night, haldi, and more.
The couple’s families kicked off the celebrations on a devotional note by hosting a “Mata ki Chowki” in Mumbai, before flying off for the ceremony.
A few weeks before the wedding, Hansika whisked off her BFFs to Greece to celebrate her bachelorette. She gave her fans and followers a sneak peek of the fun trip that was via an Instagram reel. “Best bachelorette ever [emojis]. #blessed with the #best [emojis],” she wrote. Based on the video, one can tell that the trip was all about partying, visiting tourist attractions, photo ops, and good times.
While rumours of Hansika dating a mystery man had been all over the internet for a long time, there was no official confirmation from the star. She made her relationship official only on November 2, 2022, and that too with pictures from their dreamy proposal.
Sohael proposed to Hansika against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, one of the most romantic locations in the world, and it was straight out of a romantic film. Sohael’s grand gesture included a heart made with flower petals, the words ‘Marry Me’ written in roses, and candles flanked around them.
