The internet is buzzing with the latest Abir Gulaal teaser! With his swooning good looks and ephemeral charm, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is back to charm the audience! Fans have been awaiting Fawad Khan’s upcoming movie releases in India since the launch of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil! Following his poignant performance in Kapoor and Sons, fans have eagerly anticipated his return to the big screen—and the teaser for Abir Gulaal has significantly heightened expectations for all Fawad Khan fans.

Fawad Khan unveiled the teaser for his upcoming romantic drama Hindi film, Abir Gulaal, on Monday. Despite its brief duration, the Abir Gulaal teaser effortlessly captivates viewers, causing them to fall in love with Fawad Khan on multiple occasions. In the preview, we see Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor sitting in a car on a rainy night out on a date.

The timeless classic ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ song is sung by Fawad Khan (1942: A Love Story). With a longing expression on her face, Vaani Kapoor enquires, "Are you flirting?" "Do you want me to flirt?" Fawad Khan asks after a little pause, his expression one of genuine interest. Trust us, we are already swooning! Vaani Kapoor, fresh off her Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui fame, looks perfectly in sync with Fawad Khan’s charm, adding her spunk and vivacity to the short yet impactful Abir Gulaal teaser.

"When did you last fall in love?" is the film's slogan. Is it the return of the classic romantic comedy that is reminiscent of 2010s Bollywood? Guess we will have to wait until Abir Gulaal’s release date, which is the 9th of May!

Official announcement of the upcoming romantic drama came last year, and on Tuesday, fans finally got to see the much-anticipated Abir Gulaal teaser. The teaser for the upcoming May 9, 2025, film features Fawad and Vaani dancing to the popular Bollywood song Kuch Na Kaho.

What do we know about the plot? Well, from what we know this charming romance takes place on the scenic streets of London, weaving a tale of love that is full of surprises, sensitive moments, and pure enchantment, according to the official film synopsis. The audience can look forward to a lovely mix of comedic moments, touching scenes, and the indisputable chemistry between Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan.
The film is an international production with supporting cast members hailing from the UK and India, and its producers have now unveiled the first look at the performers.

Aarjay Pictures, Indian Stories, and A Richer Lens are the producers of Abir Gulaal. Avantika Hari, Rakesh Sippy, and Vivek B. Agrawal are among the producers of Queen, Udta Punjab, and Sacred Games. Aarti S. Bagdi (Chalti Rahe Zindagi) is directing the film set in London, which began filming on September 29th, 2017. Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures are the producers.

Believe it or not, it has almost been a decade since we saw Pakistani actor Fawad Khan charm the Indian screens! For example, Fawad has appeared in Khoobsurat (2014), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), and Kapoor & Sons (2016), among other Hindi films. Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Vaani's most recent film appearance was as a transwoman in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021).

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has a massive global fan base, and we anticipate that audiences and his fans will wholeheartedly embrace this film, as it showcases him in his most endearing role yet. Fawad and Vaani are sure to captivate audiences with their magnetic chemistry and performances.

Following the 2016 terror assault in Uri, Pakistan, there was an unofficial embargo on Pakistani performers appearing in films made in India (2016). There was a lot of animosity directed at the actor because of his role in the Karan Johar film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Another group that has decided not to collaborate with Pakistani artists or perform there is the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA). However, a petition for an official ban on Pakistani artists working in India was denied by the Bombay High Court in 2023. The activities that transcend ethnicities, civilisations, and nations—the arts, music, sports, culture, dance, etc.—are what actually bring about peace, tranquillity, unity, and harmony inside and across nations, according to the court verdict.
