1. Deva
Movies releasing in 2025 start strong with Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva all set to release on 31st January 2025. Also featuring Pavail Gulati, Pooja Hegde, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait, Deva is helmed by Mollywood director Rosshan Andrrews. One of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2025, Deva follows the story of a police officer, brilliant yet rebellious, who while investigating a high-profile case, uncovers a web of deceit.
2. Chhaava
After much delay, Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava is set to join the list of movies releasing in 2025. Based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, this historical drama promises to be engaging, and fans are quite excited to see Vicky Kaushal in this role. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb.
3. Param Sundari
When it comes to Bollywood movies 2025, Maddock has a bunch of horror comedies also lined up for release, but the first on their list of 2025 releases happens to be Sidharth Malhotra and Jahnvi Kapoor starrer Param Sundari. Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari follows the story of a North Indian boy Param, and South Indian girl Sundari, and what happens when they meet!
4. Jolly LLB 3
Next in the list of upcoming Indian movies 2025 happens to be Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer Jolly LLB 3. The original Jolly LLB featured Jagdish "Jolly" Tyagi played by Warsi, and Jolly LLB 2 featured Jagdishwar "Jolly" Mishra played by Akshay Kumar. What happens when both the Jollys land in the same court makes the story of Jolly LLB 3. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Annu Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla.
5. Alpha
One of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2025, Alpha features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles as espionage agents taking on everything in the chaotic world of dangerous missions. This is directed by Shiv Rawail, who prior to this has helmed The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984, and has been an assistant on films like Fan, Befikre, and Dhoom 3. Expected to join the list of top Bollywood movies this year, Alpha is set to release in the later half of 2025.
6. Jaat
Brought to you by debutant director Gopichand Malineni, Jaat featuring Sunny Deol, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, and Randeep Hood, is set to release in April 2025 in both Hindi and Telugu. High octane action, music by Thaman, and a stellar cast make this one of the most anticipated upcoming Indian movies 2025.
7. Azaad
Set in 1920’s India, Ajay Devgn’s upcoming 2025 film is the story of a young stable boy who discovers a kindred spirit in a spirited horse named Azaad. Exploring the theme of rebellion, tyranny, and fight for freedom, the film will also introduce two new faces. Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan, and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani are set to debut with Azaad, releasing on January 17th, 2025.
