Set during Christmas season, its story revolves around the life of George Bailey, a man on the verge of ending his life, and the twist an angel’s visit brings to his life.

When Santa accidentally dies on his property, Scott (played by Tim) must don that big, red magical suit and take on the role of Santa. What happens next is a combination of hilarious and heartwarming events. If you’re in the mood for a movie marathon, there are two more installments of this movie franchise, Santa Clause 2 and Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

Will Ferrel’s Elf is a heartwarming story of an elf named Buddy, who was accidentally transported to the North Pole when he was a toddler and then raised by elves. Buddy returns to New York as an adult in search of his real father, and the comedy and drama that unfolds after is worth a watch.

Movie marathon ahoy! Adorable but mischievous young boy Kevin McCallister’s family manages to leave him behind and he is made to face his fears and fight bad people in this holiday movie series. The best part? He manages to outwit them [the bad men] time and again, and you’re treated to a host of slapstick comedy moments.

It’s going to be a train ride of a lifetime, even if you’re just watching it via your device screen. The Polar Express, released in 2004, is a fantasy film based on a boy’s Christmas eve trip to the North Pole, and what he learns about life on that journey.

This 1996 slapstick comedy features Arnold Schwartzenegger playing the role of a busy man who seldom has the time for his young son. During Christmas time, he promises his son a limited-edition Turbo Man action figure as a gift, but he isn’t the only father who has made such a serious commitment. What follows is a showdown with another father regarding that coveted action figure.

Love is in the air and how during Christmas and New Year's Eve. So a romantic-comedy holiday film is a must. The Holiday featuring Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz is the story of two women, who decide to swap homes over the holidays and eventually find love interests at the respective destinations.
