For good reason, wildlife safaris are the ultimate adventure-laden vacation! Even the most secretive animals come out to enjoy the winter sun, making it the ideal time for wildlife safaris in the winter. Solace in the lap of luxury after a day in the jungle awaits you at one of India's many stunning safari lodges. These beautiful Indian wildlife resorts nominated for the Zee Zest Unlimit Awards 2025 have individual plunge pools, outdoor decks where you can see animals and fireplaces where you can warm up.
The Serai, Bandipur National Park
Situated on the outskirts of the forest reserve, The Serai offers a serene environment that promotes relaxation and tranquillity. There is a variety of stilted cottages and rustic wood cabins available for guests to stay in. The individual verandas are perfect for watching the warm sunsets, and the stone-tiled floors and wooden rafters are lovely touches. The Nilgiris may be seen clearly through the big glass windows at Moyar's Edge, making it an ideal site to relax after a day of animal watching.
A jungle safari may be quickly and easily arranged from the resort, as it is just a short drive from the tiger reserve's base. On top of that, they have mountain biking routes for an adrenaline rush! If you want to elevate the laid-back and relaxing mealtime experience, consider having it outdoors, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature—you might be able to spot a nilgai or two!
The Blackbuck Resort, Velavadar National Park
The cabins at the 2011-opened Blackbuck Lodge amid the golden grasslands of Velavadar Blackbuck National Park provide a wilderness vacation with all the amenities. The homes have wooden furnishings and rough-hewn stone walls; some even have plunge pools. If you're lucky, you might be able to see blackbucks from your suite at the Blackbuck, which is located in the woodland. An hour's drive north of Bhavnagar lies the 34-square-kilometre national park.
In addition to blackbuck, other animals such as nilgai, golden jackal, Indian fox, striped hyena, and Indian wolf have been sighted. The Lesser Florican, three migratory harrier species, and a slew of grassland birds can all be seen here. Afterwards, a sundowner experience follows a birdwatching stroll along the riverbank in a 6 km distant settlement. Guests may enjoy a variety of vegan and gluten-free options in addition to traditional continental, Chinese, and Indian fare at the lodge's restaurant.
Guests have the option to dine in the sit-out area while gazing at the stars. Another great option is the bush dinner, where you may dine under the stars while listening to the natural world around you.
The Reni Pani Jungle Lodge, Satpura National Park
The Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is situated in the Satpura National Park & Tiger Reserve, offering a genuine jungle experience. Twelve cottages and four luxury tents, all with the usual amenities, are available at this beautifully built lodge that focuses on conservation and wildlife. Consider reserving a tent overlooking a beautiful and gushing stream if you want to feel truly at one with nature. Walking, canoeing, cycling, and camping safaris are some of the other options available, in addition to motorboat and safari trips!
Utsav Camp, Sariska National Park
To relax in the scenic and wildlife-rich Alwar area, go no farther than Utsav Camp Sariska, which is about 7 kilometres from Sariska National Park's Gate No. 2. This scenic nature retreat is ideal for those who need a break from technology and a rejuvenating experience in nature. Their camp provides an experience that will stay with you forever, framed by towering rocks, verdant deciduous forests, and the magnificent Aravalli hills. Your return home will be filled with cherished recollections of a breathtaking adventure.
Travelling with your family? We recommend the Forest Bungalows if you're travelling with kids. These bungalows, which can host up to four people and provide more than simply a picturesque view, are among the best accommodations at Sariska. Indulge in a tranquil and unforgettable experience with its design influenced by nature and breathtaking views via glass doors.
Diphu River Lodge, Kaziranga National Park
This property on the scenic and historic Kaziranga National Park is royalty-approved—trust us, we are not kidding! Recently visited by the Duke and the Duchess of Wales (a.k.a our favourites Will and Kate), the 12 cabins at Diphlu River Lodge are on the edge of Kaziranga National Park giving you panoramic views of the beautiful park and vivid wildlife. The thatched roofs, bamboo frames, and stilted design of the cottages pay homage to the traditional dwellings of the indigenous Mishing people. Take a jeep safari in the hopes of seeing a one-horned rhinoceros (we are rooting for you!), or go on a Brahmaputra river tour in the hopes of seeing the endangered Gangetic dolphins.
