Situated in Annadale ground, which is the largest stretch of flat land in Shimla, is the Army Heritage Museum. Jaisalmer War Museum
Situated at the heart of Rajasthan, on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Highway, the Jaisalmer War Museum is dedicated to the contributions and sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers. With a number of trophies and vintage equipment on display, this museum also showcases battle tanks and other military vehicles. The 106 mm Recoilless Gun and the iconic mural that depicts the sacrifice that led to the victory in the Battle of Longewala form an important part of this army museum. Naval Aviation Museum
The only naval aviation museum in the whole of Asia, this army museum is situated in the Dabolim Airport in Goa. Inaugurated in the year 1998, the Naval Aviation Museum displays a total of eight aircraft. With an impressive collection of aircraft, naval equipment and historical artefacts, the open-air gallery in this Goa museum has on display most of the aircraft which have been used by the Indian Navy till date. The interior of this museum has been designed in such a way that it resembles the INS Viraat aircraft carrier.
