With her stunning ethnic ensembles that had us ogling and stealing style cues, Alia Bhatt's 2024 fashion lookbook was mesmerising. From the Met Gala to small-scale wedding celebrations, the girl has dominated Indian fashion, raising the standard. Alia Bhatt in traditional wear is a sight to behold!

There was no better blend of contemporary flair and classic glitz than Alia Bhatt's traditional looks in 2024. Alia never failed to inspire us with her impeccable taste in traditional Indian attire, whether she was strutting down the Met Gala carpet or visiting a small wedding. Alia solidified her status as a style icon who deftly infused traditional wear with her personality with every saree, lehenga, and kurta that she designed. We’ve curated an entire lookbook so you can get inspired this Shadi season!

Alia wore a fuchsia-pink lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra to the Mumbai Diwali celebration. Continuing her bold fashion statement, Bhatt donned the same customised lehenga set to her mehendi after her April 2022 small wedding ceremony to Ranbir Kapoor. The ensemble showcased the handwork of Mijwan women for over three thousand hours. The textile patches ranged from block prints to intricately embroidered swathes of fabric and were inscribed with elements symbolic of her journey and special moments. At the Diwali celebration in 2024, Bhatt wore a lehenga with a top adorned with kora flowers, antique gold metal sequins from Gujarat, and genuine nakshi and silver. With a glam, stylish hairdo and minimal makeup, she finished off the outfit with chandbali earrings and kadas. This is truly one of the best of Alia Bhatt’s traditional dresses!

Alia Bhatt wore a stunning art silk saree with thin gold borders and got patti work adorning it on Diwali. She was clad in a plunging neckline and an outdated, sparkly gold blouse. Stunning chrysanthemum flowers in shades of orange and yellow graced her sleek hairdo, and oxidised silver dangler earrings completed the ensemble. She wore mauve lips, black bindi, well-defined eyebrows, and golden eyeshadow. Inspiration for Diwali festivities: Alia Bhatt in traditional wear harmoniously blended traditional and contemporary elements.

A 23-foot-long train of hand-embroidered flowers, silk floss, glass beads, and jewels encircled Alia Bhatt's whole body as she sashayed down the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala in a couture saree designed by Sabyasachi. The beaded blouse, adorned with pearls and emeralds, made her appear very stunning. The ensemble, which was inspired by The Garden of Time, was a highlight fashion moment of the year and solidified Alia's position as a worldwide style star. It expertly combined Indian craftsmanship with current design. If we had to rank, we’d give this look the first spot when it comes to Alia Bhatt’s traditional dresses!

During the Durga Puja festivities, the actress sported a stunning saree in a vivid shade of red that had been exquisitely embroidered by Torani in a golden tone. With a sweetheart neckline and a matching top, Alia Bhatt stayed faithful to the colour of her saree. Slicking her hair back into a sleek bun, she wore simple, striking earrings. The final product was both bold and subtle.

Stunning in a stunning black lehenga designed by Faraz Manan, Alia Bhatt's traditional look stole the show at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's sangeet. A bralette-style shirt with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline complemented the custom-made garment, which had a very full skirt embellished with intricate silver sequins. Drama was given to the outfit using the matching dupatta. Extravagant diamond earrings and a bold ring were the cherry on top. Soft nude lips, delicate smoky eyes, and a chic side-parted hairstyle were the elements of Alia's dewy beauty look that made her very stunning.

An exquisite net lehenga embellished with sequins and golden embroidery complemented with a blouse and dupatta with scallop edges, made the actress appear stunning. A pair of earrings and a golden maang tikka complemented her warm bronze and gold makeup, which brought out her natural glow. Alia's golden lehenga is a style staple that never goes out of style, and it's the ideal piece to wear on special occasions.

Stunning in a Manish Malhotra-weaved Ashavali Silk saree with silver and gold zari, Alia Bhatt dazzled at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, which took place 160 years ago. A silver strapless bustier completed her look. Sunita Shekhawat designed her jewellery, which she adorned with emeralds and gold. She completed her style with a gajra-adorned hairstyle, minimal makeup, and kohl-lined eyes, which gave her a sophisticated air.
