Sidharth Malhotra And Kiara Advani Start Their Happily Ever After; Deets Inside

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani manifested their wedding on the 'Koffee with Karan - Season 7' couch, and on February 7, 2022, finally turned that into reality to become mister and missus. Yes, you read it right. Putting all rumours to rest, Bollywood stars and 'Shershaah' fame couple Sidharth and Kiara have announced on Instagram that they are married.  

The wedding took place at the Suryagarh, a luxury hotel in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and it was a three-day affair with only the bride and groom’s family and close friends in attendance. "Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead," wrote the newlyweds on their respective Instagram profiles and shared a few photos from the wedding ceremony. The caption they used was a popular dialogue from ‘Shershaah’, which featured Sidharth and Kiara as leads.

Bollywood biggie Karan Johar, fashion designer Manish Malhotra, actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife and entrepreneur Mira Kapoor, Kiara’s childhood best friend Isha Ambani and the latter’s husband Anand Piramal; director Rohit Shetty and actor Juhi Chawla were some of the famous faces present at this star wedding.

Ever since the first pictures from Sidharth and Kiara’s wedding were released, netizens haven’t stopped talking about how regal and elegant their sartorial and her beauty choices for this important day were. For her bridal look, Kiara chose to wear a rose-pink Manish Malhotra lehenga with hints of hot pink and gold embellishments.  

She complemented her outfit with a stunning heavy emerald and diamond set featuring a necklace, a pair of earrings, and bangles. Kiara also wore soft rose-coloured bangles, customised kaleerein, and diamond haathphools and maang teeka. Kiara’s pair of kaleerein were designed by Mrinalini Chandra, who has created personalised kaleerein for the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Athiya Shetty, and it featured elements close to the couple’s hearts including stars, the moon, their initials, butterflies, a picture of Sidharth’s late pet, their favourite travel destination, and more.  

One of the pictures from the wedding also shows Kiara’s engagement ring, which has a huge oval diamond at the centre and a simple and chic band studded with diamonds. 

Kiara’s makeup look 

Her makeup was kept minimal. The highlights of her makeup and hair look, created by artist Swarnalekha Gupta and hairstylist Amit Thakur, were soft sculpting at the base, rosy blush, mascara-clad lashes, brushed-up eyebrows, neutral manicure, and a traditional floral updo.

Meanwhile, Sidharth opted for a Manish Malhotra gold embroidered sherwani with zardozi and badla work. He complemented the outfit with a heritage polki necklace and ring, which made him look nothing short of a maharaja. Sidharth’s wedding look was finished off with a pagdi that was accessorised using a diamond brooch with a feather.

Congratulatory messages are pouring in 

As soon as Sidharth and Kiara shared the good news via their Instagram, congratulatory messages and good wishes have been pouring in for the newlyweds from all directions.  

Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta to Kangana Ranaut, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and many others took to different social media platforms to wish Sidharth and Kiara a happy married life ahead.  

While Alia shared their photo and wrote “Congratulations you two” on an Instagram story, Kangana applauded the celebrity couple on Twitter for never seeking attention with ‘Bolly relationship gimmicks’. “So much integrity and genuine love, delightful couple,” read a part of her tweet.  

Wedding reception 

According to reports, the newlyweds will be hosting a reception for the Bollywood fraternity in Mumbai. It is expected to be hosted at St Regis, a luxury hotel in the city, on February 12, 2023.  

Sidharth and Kiara reportedly fell in love on the sets of ‘Shershaah’ in 2019, however, they never openly admitted that they’re dating. The two were spotted together several times in and out of airports and were by each other’s sides on important dates such as birthdays. Things took a turn when they appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan – season 7’, where Sidharth said, “I am manifesting a happier and brighter future,” when prodded about his plans with Kiara.
