Ingredients For Urad Dal Papad Recipe

  • For Urad Dal Papad

    • 1 ½ cup urad dal powder

    • 1 tsp cumin seeds

    • 1 tsp asafoetida

    • salt to taste

    • 1 tbsp crushed black pepper

    • 2 tbsp papad khar

    • ghee

    • oil for frying

How to make Urad Dal Papad Recipe?

  1. Sieve the urad dal flour and then add cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, crushed black pepper to it and mix well.
  2. In a bowl mix papad khar and water.
  3. Add this mixture to the urad dal flour and knead a dough.
  4. Spread some ghee on the dough and beat the dough till it softens.
  5. Cover the dough with muslin cloth for half an hour.
  6. Spread some ghee on the dough and knead again.
  7. Now make small balls of the dough and apply some ghee on the dough balls and roll with the help of a rolling pin.
  8. Let the papads dry in the sun for 2-3 days.
