6 chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped pineapple
100 ml tamarind juice
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chilli powder
5 tbsp gingelly oil
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp urad dal
1/2 tsp hing
6 - 7 curry leaves
salt to taste
- Heat a pan and add chopped tomato and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add tamarind juice, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and cook until the tomatoes turn soft.
- Add chopped pineapple, mix well and cook till the water has evaporated while stirring occasionally.
- In a tadka pan heat gingelly oil, urad dal, mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves.
- Add to thokku and serve!
