Tomato & Pineapple Thokku is a traditional South Indian chutney/side dish. Thokku refers to a vegetable that is chopped finely or grated, pureed and cooked to a thick consistency. There are several variations of a thokku. Traditionally thokku is made with ripe tomatoes but here the chef adds pineapple to it. It gives the pickle/chutney a contrasting tangy, sweet and spicy taste.

Spicy, tangy and sweet Tomato & Pineapple Thokku is lip-smacking and is a perfect side dish for idli, dosa, roti, and curd rice.
