Ingredients For Tomato Pachadi, Momos Chutney & Tomato Chokha Recipe

  • For Tomato Pachadi

    • 2 tbsp oil

    • 1 tsp mustard seeds

    • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds

    • pinch of asafoetida

    • 1 tbsp split chickpeas

    • 1 tbsp white lentil

    • 12-15 curry leaves

    • 4 dried red chillies

    • 1 cup tomato pulp

    • ½ cup chopped tomatoes

    • salt to taste

    • ½ cup tamarind pulp

    • 1-2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander

  • For Momos Chutney

    • 10-12 dried red chillies soaked in vinegar

    • 2-3 tbsp oil

    • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

    • 2 tbsp chopped onions

    • 1 cup chopped tomatoes

    • salt to taste

  • For Tomato Chokha

    • 5 tomatoes

    • ½ cup chopped coriander leaves

    • 1 tsp chopped garlic

    • 2-3 chopped green chillies

    • 2 tbsp lemon juice

    • 1 cup chopped onions

    • salt to taste

    • 1-2 tbsp mustard oil

How to make Tomato Pachadi, Momos Chutney & Tomato Chokha Recipe?

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, a pinch of asafoetida, split chickpeas, white lentils, curry leaves, dried red chillies and saute.
  2. Add tomato pulp, chopped tomatoes, salt and saute. Cook until the tomatoes get soft.
  3. Add tamarind pulp, chopped coriander and mix well.
  4. Once the mixture cools down, blend it coarsely and served.
  5. Soak deseeded dried red chillies in vinegar for an hour.
  6. Heat oil in a pan, add roughly chopped garlic and saute till golden brown.
  7. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, salt, soaked chillies and cook until onions and tomatoes are done.
  8. Blend this mixture and momos chutney is ready to serve.
  9. Roast the tomatoes from all sides on a low flame.
  10. Let the tomato cool and de-skin it. Finely chop the roasted tomatoes.
  11. In a bowl, mix chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, chopped garlic, chopped green chillies, lemon juice, chopped onions, salt and mustard oil.
  12. Tomato Chokha is ready to serve.
