Ingredients For Sattu Ka Sharbat Recipe

  • For Sattu Ka Sharbat

    • 1 cup roasted chana

    • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder

    • 1 tsp black salt

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

    • 2 tbsp coriander leaves

    • 1 green chilli

    • 1 tbsp mint leaves

    • ice cubes

  • For Chocolate Sattu Shake

    • 1 cup peanuts

    • 2 tbsp sugar

    • 2 tbsp chocolate sauce

    • 1 cup milk

How to make Sattu Ka Sharbat Recipe?

  1. Grind the roasted chana to make sattu powder from it.
  2. Take the sattu powder in a bowl, add roasted cumin powder, black salt, lemon juice, and water to it and mix well.
  3. Add chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves and ice cubes to it, mix and stir well.
  4. For chocolate sattu shake, grind peanuts, sugar and sattu together in a mixer jar.
  5. Pour chocolate sauce in a bowl and add the ground mixture to it. Now add milk to and mix well so that no lumps remain.
  6. Next, blend this mixture in a mixer with ice cubes.
  7. Pour it in a glass, garnish it with chocolate sauce and serve.

Sattu Ka Sharbat is a refreshing summer drink. Sattu is a flour made from powdered chana dal (Bengal gram). It can also be made from other pulses and cereals. It is quite popular in northern states of India such as Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, Uttarakhand and UP. Sattu offers numerous health benefits as it is high in essential nutrients. In fact, Sattu is referred to as ‘Poor man’s protein’ as it is rich in protein. It is now recognised as a superfood.
