INGREDIENTS
For Posto Bori Diye Macher Jhol
500 gm Rohu fish
salt to taste
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 cup oil
2 cups posto bori
For curry
5-6 tbsp oil
1 tsp Nigella seeds
4-5 chopped green chillies
2-3 cubed potatoes
1-2 cubed eggplant
salt to taste
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
water as required
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, marinate the Rohu fish with salt and turmeric powder.

- Heat oil in a pan and fry posto bori in it till golden brown. Remove the fried posto bori in a plate.

- In the same pan, fry the marinated pieces of fish.

- Heat oil in another pan and add nigella seeds, chopped green chillies, cubed potatoes, cubed egg plant and mix well.

- Now add salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and water to it and cover the pan with lid and let it cook for some time.

- Next, add the fried posto bori and fried fish pieces, cover with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

- Place the fish pieces in a serving bowl and pour the gravy over it. Serve hot.
