Palak Halwa or Spinach Halwa is a nutritious and delicious dessert.
Halwa refers to a sweet variety made from toasted semolina. India has many types of Halwa, some very unique to the states and places. The most common is made from semolina or sooji.
Chef Kunal combines sooji and palak (Spinach) to make a mouth-watering halwa. Palak is rich in vitamins A, C and E and also Magnesium and Iron. Ayurveda believes that Palak is very beneficial for Kapha kind body types.
This green leaves halwa with some jaggery and khoya has a taste to behold.
