Ingredients For Moong Dal Papad Recipe

  • For Moong Dal Papad

    • 1 cup moong dal flour

    • 1 tsp cumin seeds

    • salt to taste

    • pinch of red chilli powder

    • 1 tsp asafoetida

    • 1 tsp crushed black pepper

    • pinch of turmeric powder

    • 1 tsp papad khar

    • 1 tsp garlic paste

    • ghee

  • For Moongodi

    • 1 cup soaked moong dal

    • 1 dry red chilli

    • 1 tsp asafoetida

    • salt to taste

How to make Moong Dal Papad Recipe?

  1. Sieve the moong dal flour.
  2. Add cumin seeds, salt, a pinch of red chilli powder, asafoetida, black pepper powder and turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Now, take papad khar in a bowl and water and garlic paste to it and mix well.
  4. Add this mixture to moong dal flour and knead a dough.
  5. Keep the dough covered with a muslin cloth for half an hour.
  6. Next, smear some ghee on the dough and knead again.
  7. Make small balls of the dough. Place one ball in the papad making machine and make a papad. Repeat the procedure for all the dough balls.
  8. Keep papads to dry out in the sun for 4-5 days.
  9. For moongodi – grind the soaked moong dal, dry red chilli, salt, and asafoetida powder in mixer and make a thick paste.
  10. Put this mixture in a piping bag.
  11. Take a muslin cloth and make small moongodi by using the piping bag.
  12. Let the moongodi dry in the sun for 4-5 days.
