  • For Mango Kulfi

    • 1 litre full fat milk

    • 5 tbsp sugar

    • 2 green cardamom, powdered

    • 1 cup cooking cream

    • 1/2 cup mango pulp (Alphanso)

    • mango chunks (Dasheri/Kesar)

    • 2 tbsp milk powder

    • 2-3 mango (Neelam), whole for setting kulfi

    • pistachios for garnish

    Heat milk in a heavy bottom pan, once one boil is done add cream, sugar, cardamom powder, mango pulp.

    Pour the mixture in a bowl and let it cool down.

    Add chopped mangoes to this mixture.

    Once the mixture has completely cooled, combine well and pour into the mold and let it set overnight or 5-6 hours in the freezer.

Kulfi is a traditional Indian ice cream that can be made with slowly simmered whole milk to which different ingredients like mango, rose petals, figs, saffron, dry fruits etc. can be added. This frozen dessert can be found in high-end restaurants as well as in every nook and corner. 

Mango Kulfi is generally made during summers when mangoes are easily available. The creamy, sweet and tangy mango kulfi just melts in your mouth. This frozen dessert is perfect to combat the sultry summer heat.
