Ingredients For Fryums Recipe

  • For Fryums

    • salt

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour

    • yellow food grade colour

    • pink food grade colour

How to make Fryums Recipe?

  1. Heat 2 cups of water in a pan, add salt and all-purpose flour to it and cook till a thick mixture is obtained.
  2. Divide the mixture in three different bowls. Add yellow food grade colour in one bowl and pink food grade colour in another bowl and mix well.
  3. Take a piping bag, fill the mixtures in it and make fryums on a plastic sheet.
  4. Allow the fryums to dry in the sun for 3-4 days.
  5. Deep-fry the fryums in hot oil.

In India, Fryums are available in the market as ‘ready-to-cook’ or rather ‘ready-to-fry’. Fryums come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colours and flavours. Pipe fryums, round fryums, square fryums, pink fryums, yellow fryums, red fryums…lots of shapes and colours are available. They can be deep-fried or roasted in the microwave.

The crunchy, crispy Fryums can be had with rice & curry, or khichadi. They add more texture and flavour to the meal.
