Ingredients For Stuffed sponge gourd wrapped in beetle leaf Recipe
Ingredients:
Sponge gourd, washed and peeled. Cut into 2" cylindrical shapes
½ table spoon lemon juice
½ tea spoon black pepper powder
Beetle leaves- 6 nos
Salt to taste
For the stuffing
Boiled mashed potatoes -1 cup
Grated panneer - 1 cup
Chopped green chillies - 1 tea spoon
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tea spoon
Chopped ginger - ½ tea spoon
Garam masala - 1 tea spoon
Roasted cumin powder -½ tea spoon
For cooking
1 table spoon cooking oil
How to make Stuffed sponge gourd wrapped in beetle leaf Recipe?
- Rub the sponge gourd with lemon juice, pepper powder and salt
- Mix all the ingredients for the stuffing
- Scoop out the pulp from cut sponge gourd pieces
- Fill the hollow cavity in the sponge gourd pieces with the stuffing
- Wrap individual pieces in beetle leaf and secure with the thread
- Arrange the wrapped sponge gourd pieces in a greased pan
- Saute over low flame . Cover the pan with lid. Keep flipping the sponge gourd frequently for even cooking
- Serve hot with vegetables salad
