Ingredients For Spiny loaches Fish gravy in mud pot Recipe
Spiny loaches-500 gms
Small sambar onions-100gms,peeled
Coconut-1cup
Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
Curry leaves-few
Tamrind juice(thick)-1 cup
Red chilly powder-3 tbsp
Coriander powder-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Gingelly oil-3 tbsp
Tomatoes-2
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp
How to make Spiny loaches Fish gravy in mud pot Recipe?
- Grind coconut and water into fine paste. Add cumin seeds , curry leaves few and small onions 75 gms grind to a coarse paste . Clean fish and drain.
- In a mud pot add Tamrind pulp, Red chilly powder, coriander powder, Turmeric powder, grounded masala add needed amount water mix well and set on fire.
- In a pan add gingelly oil heat well add mustard seeds to splutter add fenugreek seeds and add remaining onions chopped fry well add tomatoes chopped cook till it fry well add curry leaves and pour into the boiling curry and salt to taste and cook in simmer until the raw smell evaporates.
- Add fish and add little salt cover and cook for 5mins and serve with hot rice or appam.
