Ingredients For "Haldi Patra pitha" Recipe

  • For the pura(stuffing)- boiled moong daal- 100gm, grated coconut- 100gm, grated chena- 100gm, chopped cashew and kishmish- 50gm, black pepper powder- 1 teaspoon, cinnamon powder- 1 teaspoon, Cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon, jaggery( as per your taste)and ghee- 1 teaspoon.

  • For the base(batter of dosa)- rice- 1 cup and urad daal- 1 n 1/2 cup

  • Required- Fresh Turmeric leaves

How to make "Haldi Patra pitha" Recipe?

  1. Batter of pitha(dosa)- soake the urad daal n rice for 4 hours then Grind soaked rice and urad daal into fine paste n fermente it.
  2. Preparation of stuffing (pura)- in a pan add 1 teaspoon ghee then add the boiled moong daal stir it for 2 min then add the ingredients such as coconut, chena, dry fruits and the powders stir it well for 2-3 minutes finally add the jaggery n wait till the water evaporates and let it to cool down
  3. Now, place a steamer in gas and add water in it, now place a water plate( jali platand cover it to gain the steaming water.
  4. Now, take the Turmeric leaf unfold it n put the batter on it add the prepared stuffing n fold the leaf, now put the leaf on the plate n cover it n put it on steam for 15 minutes on medium flame. N serve it hot.
