2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chilled butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg powder
1/4 cup curd
1/4 cup chopped walnut dusted with flour
How to make Armenian Nutmeg Cake Recipe?
- In a mixing bowl mix all purpose flour and baking powder.
- Now add chilled butter and rub with fingers to make bread crumbs like mixture.
- Add brown sugar and mix together.
- In a lined 8' baking tin spread half of prepared mixture and make a thin layer.
- Press the mixture to form an even layer.
- In another bowl mix milk, baking soda and nutmeg powder.
- Add curd and mix everything properly. Thereafter add remaining dry mixture prepared earlier.
- Mix together and pour onto the prepared base of dry mixture. Top with dusted walnuts.
- In a pre heated oven bake @180 degrees for 50 minutes.
- Let the cake cool down then serve.
