Ingredients For Alu ko achaar Recipe
4-5 medium boiled potatoes
¾ cup soaked yellow split peas
1 large sliced onion
Few chopped Coriander leaves
3-4 finely chopped green chillies
3 tbsp white Sesame seeds
1½ tbsp black Sesame seeds
1 tbsp mustard seeds
5-6 black peppercorns
3-4 dry red chilles
½ lemon
3 tbsp mustard oil
1 tbsp cumin seeds
½ tbsp fenugreek seeds
¾ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
How to make Alu ko achaar Recipe?
- In a large bowl,add diced boiled potatoes and soaked yellow split peas.
- Sliced onion, chopped green chilles and Coriander leaves.
- In a pan, add white &black Sesame seeds, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, dry red chillies and dry roast until it splatters.
- Transfer it into a mixer grinder and grind it into a coarse powder and add it into the bowl.
- In the same pan, add mustard oil and heat it. Add the fenugreek seeds,turmeric powder and cumin seeds until the fenugreek seeds turn black.
- Transfer it into a bowl and crush a lemon into it.
- Toss the bowl until the potatoes and yellow split peas coat the mixture well. Serve with tortillas/rice.
