In today’s wellness-focused world, face yoga is gaining attention as a natural, holistic way to rejuvenate skin and tone facial muscles through mindful movement. Leading this movement is Vibhuti Arora, face yoga expert, clean beauty advocate, and founder of House of Beauty India. What began as a personal journey to heal her skin has grown into a mission to empower others with self-care. Even a simple one-minute massage can be a grounding act of self-care, helping reconnect with one’s body and breath. In this interview, Vibhuti shares her story, debunks common myths, and offers practical tips—reminding us that true beauty begins from within.

It all started at a time when I lost my confidence. I was battling with an autoimmune skin condition, called Lupus, that left a prominent butterfly-shaped rash on my face. It wasn’t just a physical challenge; it affected every part of my life. I hesitated to go to work, to step out, to socialize. Back then, the skincare solutions available were loaded with chemicals, sulfates, and parabens, all of which would only make the rash worse. As a long-time yoga practitioner, I instinctively turned inward. I began experimenting in my kitchen, creating ghee-based creams rooted in Ayurvedic principles and slowly, I saw a difference in my skin. As I started healing, I realized, I wasn’t alone. There had to be so many women silently battling similar issues. I decided to become a voice for them. Someone who could merge access with insight and tradition with truth. That’s how my journey into face yoga and clean, conscious beauty truly began.

What sets it apart from traditional skincare or facial treatments is the approach. Most facials focus only on product application—layering creams and serums.  And skincare is also largely about slapping products on your face. Face yoga, on the other hand, works with the body’s own systems. It engages facial muscles, stimulates acupressure points, and activates neural pathways that support circulation, lymphatic drainage, and stress release. This is not just surface-level care, it goes beyond.

My daily ritual is my one-minute Vibhuti massage, where I divide my face into zones and go on to lift every zone. I also de-puff my eyes daily. Apart from that, I always include a tool three times a week. Personally, I also focus on exercises for eye strengthening and droopy lip correction, which is based on my own facial needs. At night, I wind down with Pranayama or Oxygenation, and if I can’t sleep, then I practice Yoga Nidra. That gives me a lot more clarity, more mental strength, and the next day starts better.

Absolutely—face yoga can offer quick, visible results when you're short on time. I recommend a few targeted exercises like cheek whipping or jowl sculpt techniques. These movements help stimulate the facial muscles, giving an instant lift and tighter appearance that holds through the day. For an even more amplified effect, tools like the microcurrent face massager or the Face Lift Pro can be game changers. Just one session with the device is equivalent to five manual face yoga workouts, it’s that effective. These are perfect go-tos when you need to look refreshed, sculpted, and camera-ready in 24 hours or less.

At its core, yoga is about balance—a union of mind, body, and soul. Face yoga extends this philosophy to the face, where stress and tension often go unnoticed. Over time, that strain can show up as dullness, fatigue, or asymmetry, impacting not just how we look, but how we feel. Face yoga offers more than aesthetic benefits. It supports lymphatic drainage, boosts circulation, and promotes emotional release. Much like traditional yogic kriyas, it channels healing, only this time, through the face, restoring both confidence and inner clarity.

The masseter. It’s your main chewing muscle, and it holds a lot of tension. We eat multiple times a day but rarely relax this area. Tightness here can lead to TMJ issues, lockjaw, or even tinnitus. Before you obsess over dark circles or double chins, release your masseter. You’ll thank me later.

Period blood on face. Just... no. Hate it.

Face yoga isn’t just about the face. It’s about your overall health, your gut, your lymphatic system, your emotional well-being. It’s a 360-degree approach that most people haven’t been educated about yet.
And no, it doesn’t cause lines or wrinkles—it helps reduce them. That’s the whole point. Yes, we’re all going to age, no matter how many injectables or cosmetic treatments we try. Even with face yoga, aging is inevitable. But the goal is to age gracefully, healthily, and with confidence.
