Chambal Gin
With each sip, Chambal Gin encapsulates the spirit of the Chambal River. This piece pays tribute to the rich history, breathtaking landscape, and deep ravines of Chambal. Ingredients for this Indian Dry Gin include juniper berries, almonds, green cardamom, dried lemon peel, and black cardamom, along with wild cinnamon bark. A ripped label on the amber glass bottle of this gin connects it to the region's notorious dacoits and its rough scenery. The three cities of Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune all stock Chambal Gin. Juniper berries, wild cinnamon bark, black and green cardamom, dried lemon peel, and almonds are all botanical ingredients that come together to create a spirit with a complex and captivating flavour profile.
Kumaon & I
Kumaon & I is crafted with pure Himalayan spring water and eleven carefully selected regional botanicals that are distilled at their source for nine hours. As a result, the spirit takes on a new texture, and each bottle is infused with the whole range of flavours. Every bottle proudly showcases the history and bountiful geography of this Uttarakhand region. Mother Nature's bountiful gifts of Timur berries, Himalayan juniper, high altitude black turmeric, fresh Himalayan water, and last but not least, the soft power of Kumaon's cultural prowess, stories, arts and crafts, are honoured in every farm-to-bottle edition of gin that they produce in the Kumaon region. Grower communities of women harvest these botanicals, transforming them into a spirit that quietly breaks barriers!
Mohulo Craft Gin
The star ingredient, Mohulo, is all the rage in India's upscale restaurants, and this gin is among the first to feature it. The distillery that produces Smoke Lab Vodka also produces Mohulo. This limited-edition gin was created by Varun Jain, CEO and founder. He describes it as a "sipping gin," meaning that it is best consumed neat or with a citrus or herb garnish to bring out its nuanced flavours. Its principal botanical element is the mahua seed, one of twelve, along with honey, basmati rice, orange blossom, bay leaf, orange peel, liquorice, coriander, and orange blossom. No one should use a mixer to mess with the flavour because it is so distinctive. Savour it with the care that went into its creation!
Cherrapunji Mountain Berry Gin
Mayukh Hazarika, a native of Shillong, created Cherrapunji Gin with the expressive, energetic flavours of young, velvety junipers grown in the Eastern Himalayan states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Their latest ode to cherry blossoms is an indigenous spin on British sloe gin. British red liquor sloe gin is typically created by steeping sloe berries in gin, which imparts a rich, berry-led flavour. Sloe berries are acidic and astringent, but Hazarika sought out Sohiong fruits, often known as "mountain berries," because sloe berries are not grown in India. The wild, sweet-tart fruit known as sohiong grows in abundance on the mountain slopes of Meghalaya. This version lets the natural flavours of the berries and flowers shine through because it is unsweetened, colourless, and made from a transparent distillate.
Vanaha Gin
The Revelry Distillery produces India's first forest-to-bottle gin, Vanaha Gin, and is tucked away in the verdant Sattari hills of North Goa. No one has yet discovered this hidden gem. Vaniitha Jaiin, the visionary and pioneering force behind Vanaha, is a prominent actor in India's luxury alcohol and beverage industry. She was also one of the country's first female distillery founders. Adding Vanaha to India's expanding gin repertoire is like adding a layer of botanical memory to an already delicious experience. With 24 carefully selected botanicals, including Assamese lemons, cacao nibs, juniper berries, and pine tips, Vanaha conjures a wild yet balanced floral profile that captures the essence of Goa's forests in every sip.
