At the Zee Zest Unlimit Awards 2026, we are honoring the sanctuaries of flavour that transport us across the continent with every bite under the category for the “Best Asian Restaurant” in the country. These five nominees represent the pinnacle of Asian culinary excellence in India, offering everything from ancient heritage recipes to modern, sustainable supper club vibes!
1. Oryn- Fairmont, Mumbai
Step into the sultry glamour of 1920s Shanghai at Oryn. This newly launched gem at Fairmont Mumbai is a theatrical tribute to Sichuan and Cantonese flavours. Led by the legendary Chef Kanti Prasad Sharma, Oryn features a dramatic red-and-black aesthetic anchored by a majestic golden dragon wall. Signature dishes like the Hunan Lobster, the tableside-carved Beijing Duck, and the Lobster Jiao Zi, which is served in an exquisite lobster-shaped dish, makes every meal a cinematic experience. It is not just dinner, but a revival of a bygone era of luxury.
2. Yazu Pan Asian Supper Club, Mumbai
A place where high energy supper club vibes meets serious culinary chops, Yazu has become a staple for Mumbai’s social elite. Spanning across Andheri and Lower Parel, Yazu offers a menu that is as diverse as it is delicious, and covers everything from Japanese and Thai to Korean and Chinese cuisines. Known for its buzzing atmosphere and a dedicated Jain and Keto-friendly menu, the favourites at Yazu include their Truffle Edamame Dumplings, Signature Belgian Pork Belly Fried Rice, and their inventive Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls. This place is the ultimate destination for those who want their Asian feast served with a side of style.
3. Wabi Sabi- The Oberoi, Bengaluru
At Wabi Sabi, the philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection is translated into a contemporary Asian masterclass. While Japanese at its core, the menu here is curated by Chef Randy Cultivo that extends its reach across East Asia as well, emphasising on fun over formality. Guests dine against a backdrop of a 24-carat gold leaf wall that overlooks a tranquil garden and waterfall. The must-try dishes here include the Ruby and Gold Pillows, Crunch Bang Sushi, and their expertly charred Kara-age, all served on stunning Kintsugi-inspired crockery that celebrates the art of the perfectly imperfect!
4. The Spice Route- The Imperial, Delhi
Frequently cited as one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world, The Spice Route is a visual and gastronomic journey seven years in the making. Designed by Rajeev Sethi, this restaurant feels like poetry in design, with nine sections depicting the journey of life through hand painted murals and antiques. The menu here follows the seaways that connect Asia, offering a fusion of flavours from Kerala and Sri Lanka to Thailand and Vietnam. The Thai-style Lobster with Ginger and the Kerala-style Prawns are legendary staples in this temple of Asian heritage.
5. Tsuki, Pune
Pune’s culinary scene has found its new North Star with Tsuki. This is a fully solar-powered sanctuary in Koregaon Park, and is a collaboration between culinary titans, Chef Seefah, Chef Karan Bane, and Chef Harsh Dixit. The result is a menu of incredible depth and authenticity that is set within a serene and green washed space. From their Classic Ma La Noodles to the artisan Tequila Cocktails and Nama Chocolate dessert, Tsuki redefined the modern Asian experience with a powerful commitment to sustainability and soul.
