Synonymous with culinary excellence, Avartana needs no introduction. The crown jewel of the ITC chain of hotels exemplifies a sophisticated reimagining of South Indian flavours. The luxurious fusion of traditional ingredients and avant-garde techniques has made Avartana stand out ever since it opened its doors in 2017 at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai.
Over the years, it has spread its culinary mastery to other ITC properties. Their excellence can be experienced at ITC Maurya, ITC Maratha, ITC Royal Bengal in India, and ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo.

This summer, Avartana is set to delight France with two by-invite pop-up dinners at two of the most exclusive venues in the world. On 10 April 2025, Avartana pop-up dinner shall be hosted at Domaine du Chalet, Champagne, and the second will be at Chateau Haut Brion, Bordeaux, on 15 April 2025.
Taking the exemplary culinary experience a notch higher

One of the most celebrated culinary establishments in the country, Avartana’s tour starts at Domaine du Chalet, Champagne, which is owned by Champagne Palmer. Their range of incredible artisanal bubbly, paired with Avartana’s award-winning cuisine, is a beautiful celebration of cultural and culinary nuances. After this pop-up on 10 April 2025, the Avartana team will then move on to the legendary wine region of Bordeaux.

On 15 April 2025, the pop-up will be hosted at the historical and iconic Chateau Haut Brion. The pop-up coincides with one of the biggest in the region and one of the world’s most famous wine events, the En Premieur. For the uninitiated, this is where the negociants, retailers, and wine enthusiasts come together to taste Bordeaux’s latest vintage before it’s bottled, making this a must-visit for wine-lovers. Paired with Avartana’s 7-course experience, this is simply exquisite and historical.
Avartana in France

After being crowned as India's No.1 Restaurant by the Conde Nast Traveller in 2024, finding a place on Tatler Asia's Best Restaurants in 2024 and twice featuring on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2023 and 2024, an exclusive pop-up or culinary tour seemed like a great next step for the team at Avartana.

Behind the culinary show are Avartana’s chefs - Nikhil Nagpal & Satheeshwaran - and their menu for the 7-course experience includes iconic dishes like Lamb Congee, Asparagus & Coconut Stew, Spiced Pork Belly, Fennel Pannacotta and more. The accompanying wines, which still haven’t been disclosed, will be curated by Sanjay Menon, promising a spectacular evening.

With Ganesh Kuppusami, Food and Beverage Manager, ITC Grand Chola, overseeing the service sequence along with the team at Sonary’s, Avartana’s France tour is all set to be a beautiful glimpse of the warmth and hospitality that is synonymous with ITC
