It’s the Chinese New Year, Year of the Rabbit, on January 22, 2023. In Chinese astrology, the rabbit is considered one of the luckiest animals and is said to bring prosperity, hope, and calm. To ring in this lunar new year in full swing and mark the milestone, which is the Year of the Rabbit, head to these Chinese and Asian restaurants across Mumbai.

The offerings include an exciting array of dumplings, mains, and desserts including golden luck dumpling (filled with raw papaya, broccoli, lotus root, and chilli oil), the pot of prosperity dessert (made using dark cocoa, orange mousse, marmalade, gold dust, and more), and fortune dumpling (filled with chicken). On offer are also a line-up of cocktails like Ying & Yang and Asian Wisdom.

Chinese restaurant Hakkasan has partnered with celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania to enhance the décor with her signature blend of aesthetics and incorporate the spirit of the Year of the Rabbit. Think larger-than-life rabbits, neon signage, and traditional paper lanterns in every direction you look. They have also introduced a limited-edition a la carte menu featuring seafood dumplings, heirloom carrots and asparagus with chilli; stir-fried chicken, water chestnut, pine nut in ginger and chilli; braised pork belly in black vinegar; among other dishes.
