You will require at following ingredients to prepare the potato pakora recipe at home: 

  1. 1 potato
  2. ¾ cups of gram flour/ besan
  3. 2 tbsp rice flour
  4. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  5. ¼ tsp turmeric
  6. ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  7. ½ tsp chaat masala
  8. A pinch of asafoetida
  9. ½ tsp salt
  10. ½ cup water
  11. Oil


Follow the given steps to prepare this easy and quick aloo pakora recipe: 

  1. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Then rinse them in cold water to remove the starch from the potatoes for making aloo pakoda. 
  2. Dry the potatoes for the potato bhajiya recipe and keep them aside. 
  3. To prepare the batter for the batata bhaji, in a bowl take gram flour and rice flour as mentioned under ingredients for aalu pakkoda. 
  4. Add in the turmeric, chilli powder, chaat masala, asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste and salt. 
  5. Mix all the aloo pakoda ingredients well, and then add water and whisk. 
  6. Make a smooth batter for the recipe batata bhaji. Make sure the aalu pakkoda batter has no lumps.
